The first thing to understand is what the flexible stone is made from.

If the surface coating or pattern comes off very easily, it may indicate poor surface adhesion or insufficient manufacturing quality.
The final test is to examine the internal structure.
Cut a small flexible stone sample and inspect its cross-section. You can also gently bend the cut sample to see how the different layers respond.
Watch for problems such as:
Peeling, cracking, visible layer separation, or delamination.
Poorly bonded flexible stone may begin separating after cutting or bending. This can indicate that the material layers are not sufficiently integrated.
A well-manufactured flexible stone should remain relatively cohesive after cutting and normal bending, without obvious peeling or layer separation.
